Guringai Aboriginal Tours run from 10.00am to 2pm and starts at the car park at the start of the basin track 9.5 klms along the west head rd of Ku-Ring-Gai Chase National Park, NSW 2083
You will be accompanied by Guringai descendant Laurie Bimson and Les Mcleod experienced Aboriginal guide hailing from Yuin country.
While visiting Aboriginal sites you will learn how our traditional styles of art were created over the generations and hear stories our ancesters possibly told there childern along time ago, one site we visit is an edcuation site .
Provided lunch includes barbecued marinated Kangaroo and Emu, and fish with salad and fresh made Damper (johnny cakes) with honey or golden syrup and tea and coffee.
After lunch it is off again for another short exciting Guringai Aboriginal Tours experience.
Special games available if 10 or more children are booked or on request.
Remember to bring appropriate clothing, including comfortable walking shoes, water, hat, sun screen and be prepared for a great experience.
The tour is a little bumpy but wheel chair friendly.Its about 250 metre walk each way to the carving so not very far wehave had a lot of schools do the tour and loved it so come along .
Public toilets are available where we break for lunch.
We suggest visiting the lookout at West Head, over looking Palm Beach, after your Guringai Aboriginal Tour.
